CAMP THEME
AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In today's world, kids know how to txt (text messaging), and are
always looking for more ways to lol (laugh out loud). Here
at NHFC, we thought we'd put the two together, along with
creating some bffl (best friends for life), through camp:tru.
In this camp we will teach kids
about how to follow God through all of life, the ups; as in
ROFL, the downs, and the in-between. We will study one character
from the bible the entire week and we think the kids and youth
of NHFC will not only have an amazingly fun time, but will also
learn a lot about God and how he interacts with us IRL!
And of course we have expanded the night
games (everyone's favorite activity), to some amazing,
thrill-seeking, rack your brain times as well as other PANS!
It will be a camp to remember, don't miss it!
Jr. High & Elementary Camps
Two camps, one location. Elementary
and Jr. High campers will be separate the majority of camp with the exception of Large Group activities,
dinner, fun times, and Worship Time
will be combined as well. Other than those elements, the camps
will
run completely separate. No Jr. Highers will be staying in the same
rooms as Elementary age kids.
Friends
This camp is designed to be
a camp for kids of New Hope Family Church and their friends. We encourage kids to
invite a friend or two to join them, but also encourage them to make new
friends at NHFC through camp!
Staff
We believe safety
is of the utmost importance and therefore will be cautious when
selecting camp staff. All Camp staff and volunteers will
be persons that have completed the Child Protection Plan
Training, Background Check Process or that comply with the Child
Protection Camp Addendum. You may read these policies by
clicking on the links on the right. In addition there will
be a camp staff training meeting prior to camp.
Meals
Each Cabin will be
responsible to fix their own breakfast in the kitchens provided.
Oatmeal, Cereals, and/or Breads will be provided for breakfast.
Lunches and dinners will be provided by our camp cook in Bishop
Carlson Lodge.
Activities
Possible activities include:
Boating,
Swimming, Playground, Beach on the lake, Large fields for
games, Campfires, and much more. Of course we will also have many
organized activities, games and competitions. We also have
indoor activities planned during portions of the afternoon due to
heat.
